when was the last time you had your hearing screener calibrated. Texas state law mandates that your unit must be calibrated yearly?
By law, every audiometer in Texas must be calibrated annually by a qualified technician. Calibration is a way of checking sound emitting equipment to make sure that it is performing within set standards.

(f) Only calibration firms shall perform periodic electronic calibrations and exhaustive electronic calibrations.  Calibration firms shall provide notification to the owner of the audiometer being calibrated that the audiometer has been calibrated. The notification may be in the form of a decal or sticker affixed to the audiometer, or in hard copy documentation that must be maintained by the owner and be made readily available to the department or its representative upon request.

Our technicians will make sure your equipment meets all Texas state standards and that it is functioning correctly. This regular maintenance could add years of life to your unit.

Our 16 point inspection:

  • Checks all knobs, switches and wires for noise causing problems.
  • We examine all wires and circuits for shock hazards and potential fire starters.
  • We examine head bands and cushions for comfort and safety.
  • When we are done we will issue you a certificate and place a sticker on your instrument with the date and next due date, to remind you for the next year.
  • We are always kind and courteous and never push unneeded service or sales.

Give us a call to schedule your yearly calibration. It could be costly to be caught without your calibration documentation.
